What might have been. I could have won $100,000.

I have played one particular scratch-off ticket by the Tennessee lottery which I buy at that same store everyday.  The ticket is the $5 Platinum Payout, and the most I had ever won on it was twenty-dollars. The clerk at this rinky-dink store told me that I was the only person that buys that particular ticket and that one day I would get lucky.

Well, lucky I was not.   Last week, I skipped buying the ticket for a few days and according to the stores owner, only 3 of them had been sold -- and the last of which was a $100,000 winning ticket.  The person who purchased the ticket was from out of town and had never been to that store before.

Had I purchased the Platinum Paytout ticket as I normally had, it is very likely that I would have been jumping up and down in the streets as a $100k winner.  As it is now, I am only left with what might have been.

My name is Sean and this is a true story.

I kind of know how you feel. I used to play Pa.'s cash 5 game (a drawing, not a ticket). One time I had 4 numbers right out of five, and the 5th was one number off (24 instead of 25). So instead of winning $125,000 I won $440.00; I was more ticked than happy.

that is total bs. i hate when things happen like that and a person from out of town wins something that a regular does not. that sucks.

Hey Man, I feel your pain. What can I say.  Many years ago The wife and I use to play a weekly lottery where we bought a yearly ticket and you watched a weekly show and you had to match 3 blue numbers the 2 yellow numbers then 1 white number and you won $50k. It would be a 30 minuted show and then would spin wheels, they would do the 3 blue then 10 minutes later then would do the 2 yellow then 10 minutes later the 1 white. Well we played the same number for a whole year and nothing. We changed the number after a year and the very next week with our new number well the 3 blue numbers came up our old number the 2 yellow numbers came up our old number, it was the longest 10 minutes of our life to see that the white number didn't come in our old number but for 10 minutes I guess I can relate to how you felt. Sorry, man.
